Dennis Carson is a veteran marketing executive with 30+ years in healthcare content and health information technology. He is the Director, Marketing and Tradeshows for IMO (Intelligent Medical Objects), the Chicago-based industry leading terminology service for EHR’s. He manages conferences and user group presence for over 100 events a year on six continents, along with marketing communications, digital advertising, educational programs and public relations.
Prior to this, he was VP, Sales and Marketing for a developer of mobile emergency medicine information and drug databases for clinicians. He was also head of sales and marketing for eMedicine.com, the first major online producer of free, peer-reviewed medical content and CME credits, later acquired by WebMD. Mr. Carson has served as a consultant to medical associations and the medical publishing industry, and previously served in marketing, publishing and editorial roles for major medical publishers.
He lives in St. Louis and is on the Board of Directors of the Midwest Gateway Chapter of HIMSS and is active in the American Medical Informatics Association and the American Marketing Association.
