Trey Williams
Sr. Director, Marketing

Trey Williams has more than 24 years in the public relations, marketing and crisis communications fields, and currently serves as senior director of marketing for Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, one of the largest hospitals in Louisiana.

 

In that role, Trey oversees the strategic marketing activities in an effort to promote the hospital’s position as a leader in quality health care services.  He helped lead the 2017 Hospital Marketing Team of the Year by the Louisiana Society for Hospital PR and Marketing, an affiliate of the Louisiana Hospital Association.  The marketing team also won “Best of Show” at the Baton Rouge Advertising Federation Awards in 2015.

 

Trey’s career has taken him from Capitol Hill to work for two Louisiana Congressmen, to Baton Rouge to serve on the staff of two Louisiana Governors, as well as working on several local, state and national political campaigns.

 

Trey also was responsible for implementing and supervising Louisiana’s first Joint Information Command (JIC) after Hurricane Katrina during Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, assisted with the crisis management plan after the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill and handled communications for the longest disaster food assistance program in the state’s history after Hurricane Isaac in 2012.

 

Trey currently serves on the board of directors of the Public Relations Association of Louisiana, and the LSU Manship School of Mass Communications Alumni Association. He is former president of the Baton Rouge Chapter of the Public Relations Association of Louisiana, and former Louisiana representative on the Southern Public Relations Federation board.

 

He was honored in 2017 with the Excellence in Sales and Marketing Award by the Sales and Marketing Executives of Greater Baton Rouge. He is a past recipient of the Baton Rouge Business Report’s Top 40 under 40 award and the Public Relations Association of Baton Rouge 2014 Practitioner of the Year Award. Through his work has received four Telly Awards, as well as led a team that won “Best of Show” at the Baton Rouge Advertising Federation Awards in 2015.

 

Outside work, Trey spends time with his wife of 16 years Anne, their two daughters Julia and Elizabeth and two dogs – a Boykin Spaniel, Beemer and a long-haired dachshund Oscar. He is an avid genealogist, news junkie and weather geek.
