Day 3 Agenda – Dec 2, 2020


12:00 – 12:20 PM – The Geography of the SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine Distribution Effort and How Marketing Data Can Support It

Speaker: Estella Geraghty

Speedy and equitable vaccine distribution requires a geographic approach. A geographic information system platform that provides location intelligence like ArcGIS is going to be helpful to support several key needs for the upcoming SARS-CoV-2 vaccination campaign. Leaders will need to identify facilities capable of storing and administering vaccines, prioritize population groups based on risk profiles, determine gaps in access to vaccines and make plans to serve hard to reach populations and track vaccine inventories. In addition, communication efforts around the vaccine would be improved by a marketing approach. Transparent communications by governments will build trust when it’s needed most and strategic communications can be used to target vaccine hesitant populations to increase chances for herd immunity and the quickest possible end to the pandemic.


12:20 – 12:40 PM – The Future of Healthcare Provider Marketing

Speaker: Dan Dunlop and Jared Johnson

COVID-19 accelerated so many things in healthcare, but knowing which changes will be permanent and which will go back to pre-COVID is important. In this session, we’ll share the new approaches healthcare organizations need to consider making or keeping, old habits that need to be broken, and what technology is going to be needed to thrive going forward.


12:40 – 1:00 PM – Internal Comm-edy: How to Infuse Humor to Engage Employees

Speaker: Lisa Henry

Healthcare is riddled with change – big and small. Internal communicators are tasked with finding creative ways to break through the daily clutter of messages, communication methods, and general noise. Learn how Mary Washington Healthcare used humor to catch employees’ and providers’ attention to gain excitement and engagement during a major organizational change – a new EHR. In this session, you will see examples of successful change management tactics, gain insight into how humor can inspire change, and gather tools to infuse humor into your internal communications strategies.

Panelists: Joel Cessna, Carla Bryant, Teri Sun, Stephanie Pierce

In this session, learn how Arkansas Children’s Hospital worked with their vendor partners on driving successful search results (Paid and Organic) through a thorough overhaul on their strategy and execution components. You will hear how they educate their internal client as well so they understand the power of search and how marketing is increasing conversions from competitive insights to brand vs non brand searches and how multiple vendor partners in collaboration with ACH delivered successful results.
